The Process Improvement Analyst will: 

  • Be the Lean and Six Sigma subject matter expert and consult on projects and bank business units in support of operational improvement initiatives
  • Provide day-to-day oversight of the bank's process map, procedure and management control validation program
  • Develop and execute validation schedule while coordinate with stakeholders from Internal Audit, CISO, Compliance and other business units as needed
  • Ensure the process map, procedure and management control oversight schedule is developed, maintained and executed in a timely manner
  • Pro-actively identify and document proposed improvements to the validation program, to include requirements definition for potential system enhancements
  • Manage projects that implement opportunities to improve the effectiveness of processes, procedures and management controls
  • Create a practical Lean and Six Sigma framework applicable to banking
  • Work with Office of the CEO leadership to develop and implement targeted Lean and Six Sigma training in support of the bank's continuous improvement initiative


Key Skill Sets or Knowledge Requirements

  • Individual with a genuine emotional investment in work, and the dedication required to be successful
  • Prior experience with process improvement projects in banking
  • Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives
  • Working knowledge of SOX controls & banking regulations both conceptually and in application
  • Mental acumen with a large dose of common sense
  • Proven ability to "manage up" and promote accountability
  • Innovative thinker who is able to translate thoughts into actions

Desired Career Experience & Education Requirements

  • Significant and demonstrable Lean and Six Sigma process improvement experience including kaizen events, non-value add analysis, value stream documentation, and SIPOC diagrams
  • Big 4 or similar consulting experience
  • Financial services industry experience
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and work independently
  • Comfort working in a demanding, fast paced environment
  • 4 or more years of relevant experience
  • BA or BS in Business or Finance
