The Loan Servicing Representative - Customer Service is responsible for day to day loan servicing activities, customer service, and adherence to all corporate and regulatory guidelines.  Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

 

• Customer inquiries, research requests, and related correspondence

• Escrow account inquiries

• Insurance inquiries

• Department filing and record keeping

• Payment processing

• Electronic loan file maintenance

• Review and documentation of job related processes and procedures

• Ensuring compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations

Key Skill Sets or Knowledge Requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills; Includes the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and instruct others, train personnel, write correspondence and procedures, and speak clearly to customers and employees
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail, the ability to multitask and prioritize objectives
  • Experience, knowledge, and training in bank operational activities and terminology
  • Skills in PC operation, including: word processing, spreadsheet and specialty software programs. 
  • Intermediate typing skills to meet the needs of the position
  • Ability to deal with complex problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while performing duties

 

Desired Career Experience & Education Requirements

  • Associate degree, or higher, from an accredited college or university, with a concentration in accounting, finance, or business administration
  • 2+ years customer service experience

Preferred:

  • Direct loan servicing, real estate, or commercial loan experience
  • Knowledge of Jack Henry Banking systems
  • Ability to speak a foreign language (Spanish or Mandarin)

 

 

Job Functions & Work Environment:

 

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to sit for extended periods of time. Manual dexterity and coordination are required while operating standard office equipment such as computer keyboard and mouse, calculator, telephone, copiers, etc.
