    The Information Security Analyst will report directly to the CISO and contribute to and support the Bank's information security program. The position collaborates across all business areas of the Bank as well as information technology, compliance, and enterprise risk management.

     

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Build and maintain the Bank's data retention program schedule, documentation, diagramming and keep it current
    • Frequently schedule and execute discussions and other information collection/validation exercises with the Bank's business areas to collect information that matures and maintains the program
    • Build business flow / data flow diagrams with the intention of using the knowledge to maintain an accurate data inventory
    • Analyze complex business processes and/or security controls to identify control improvements that will reduce risk
    • Build and maintain a data inventory with the assistance of business areas, information technology, and/or the enterprise risk management area that manages the governance/risk/compliance solution
    • Maintain the data retention schedule in a format presentable for business areas, management, internal audit, compliance and Bank regulators
    • Support the Bank's Legal area on the data retention policy as it relates to the overall program maturity and operational activities

    Secondary Responsibilities:

    • Conduct comprehensive in person security awareness training for new hires on a monthly basis
    • Collaborate with business units and information technology to drive security improvements in processes and systems
    • Assist with physical security tickets, projects, and after hours phone coverage
    • Other projects/tasks as assigned

    Key Skill Sets or Knowledge Requirements:

    • ​Access management fundamentals
    • Familiar with different types of applications and/or systems and their security settings
    • Base knowledge of workstations, servers, vendor applications, hosting solutions, etc.
    • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Visio
    • Curiosity to fully understand and document complex processes and environments

    Desired Career Experience & Education Requirements:

    • 2+ years of experience in a Bank, Credit Union or similar organization by complexity and regulatory requirements
    • Previous experience with data governance / information governance
    • Exposure to project management methodologies and experience with leading a complex project
    • Understanding of risk assessment methodologies
    • Strong customer service skills
    • ​4-year degree in business management, information technology, information security or similar programs

     

    Preferred:

    • Advanced degrees
    • Archer experience
    • IT support experience

     

    Job Functions and Work Environment:

     

    While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to sit for extended periods of time. Manual dexterity and coordination are required while operating standard office equipment such as computer keyboard and mouse, calculator, telephone, copiers, etc.
