BofI Federal Bank is seeking a Senior Business Analyst who will be responsible for providing support to a fast-paced analytics department. The role will require the candidate to have deep problem solving skills and possess a broad knowledge of analytics as it relates to the banking/financial services industry.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and identify business challenges and opportunities, and solve for them using fact based analysis to make strategic and tactical recommendations

  • Perform product level modeling/analytics to assist product and pricing strategies for various bank products

  • Create advanced reporting and analysis by mining the Bank’s data warehouse     

  • Prepare and present dashboards for management team highlighting key findings and takeaways

  • Perform credit analysis of existing customers based on historical behavior, creating models, and testing hypotheses using rigorous monitoring and analysis

Key Skill Sets or Knowledge Requirements:

  • Strong logical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to prepare presentations to senior management

  • Ability to write SQL queries to answer business ad hoc requests, strong Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Self-directed and able to flourish in a fast-paced environment

Desired Career Experience & Education Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a problem solving/analytical role in a fast paced organization
  • Minimum of 3 years of financial services and/or management consulting experience
  • Track record of fact based communication to support senior decision making

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, Statistics, or Mathematics from a highly recognized university


  • Graduate degree in one of the above fields

Job Functions and Work Environment:


While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to sit for extended periods of time. Manual dexterity and coordination are required while operating standard office equipment such as computer keyboard and mouse, calculator, telephone, copiers, etc.
