The Senior Systems Engineer must be proficient in all aspects related to Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012R2 design, build and implementation tasks.  They must have the ability to provide high level technical design, fully document requirements and processes from the business and architect, design and implement appropriate solutions provide project and on-going support for new and existing systems, and applications. Support new project Implementations within project scope and schedule. Provide Help Desk Level 2 support and any other duties as assigned.

 

In addition, they must be able to perform the following:

  • Plan, install, and setup physical and virtual servers(VMware) to meet application, security, and regulatory requirements
  • Configure, tune, monitor, and maintain all current supported .Net instances and Applications
  • Load balancing configuration, management, deployments with BigIP F5 and A10 Network Products
  • Audit production systems for security, capacity, and usage
  • Schedule and prioritize activities on projects involving the deployment of application and software
  • Maintain existing servers and clients using available administration tools
  • Monitor and troubleshoot servers and their usage and capacity to minimize problems and outages
  • Define, develop, implement, and maintain the process involved in administration, maintenance, security, backup, and recovery
  • Proactively work with technical support, communications support, and vendors to resolve problems
  • Work to expand knowledge of banking and workgroup software and to maintain current in network, mainframe, client server, and internet/intranet platforms
  • Experience with VDI and VMware 6.x
  • Knowledge in SAN/NAS (EMC storage) and Enterprise Backup (EMC Avamar) or equivalent backup solution
  • Documenting policies, processes and procedures of new and existing duties

Desired Career Experience & Education Requirements:

  • 5 years Information Technology Web systems and Server experience
  • Experience in Windows 7, 8.1, 2008/2012 R2, VMware 5.5/6.X, MS Clusters 2008/2012
  • Thorough understanding of Active Directory 2008/2012, DFS, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy Management, MS SQL and Operational experience
  • Prior involvement in complex projects with new implementations and existing upgrades involving enterprise applications
  • Use of enterprise database backup, archiving, management, protection and recovery tools
  • Experience with Cisco UCS, VMware and EMC integration
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Server and System Administration
  • High School Diploma

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field 
  • VMware VCP Certified IT Professional, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), System Administrator
