Our Equipment Finance group is seeking a Relationship Manager who will be responsible for developing new, and maintaining existing, customer relationships with a focus on generating new leasing business and other equipment lending opportunities for the bank.  The position represents an inside sales orientated role working closely with the credit and documentation departments.  


  • Responsible for developing, qualifying and converting company provided, and directly sourced, "cold & warm" leads through a direct calling effort into qualified financing opportunities that meet customer's needs
  • Prepare and provide pricing, structuring, and competitive proposals to developed lead opportunities
  • Negotiate and close business on financing products 
  • Obtain pertinent financial and equipment related information from the client for the credit and the documentation process
  • Present client, financing structure and other transaction specific detail to the credit department for credit submission meetings
  • Coordinate the establishment of relationships with all applicable teams assigned to the client (i.e., credit, documentation, accounting, etc.) and assist in the company effort to approve, document, close and manage transactions
  • Work together with assigned manager on setting and achieving quarterly and semiannual targets through lead and pipeline management
  • Provide exceptional customer service, product knowledge and effective ongoing follow-up when managing client relationships while seeking additional business opportunities available
  • Complete and stay up to date with bank assigned training as required

Key Skill Sets or Knowledge Requirements:

  • Ability to devise a systematic plan to identify, prospect and close targeted accounts
  • Experience building and maintaining a customer database via a CRM such as SalesForce
  • Prior experience and familiarity with various leasing products, including Operating, TRAC, Tax, Capital and First Amendment lease structures
  • Strong network of direct and/or indirect middle-market contacts
  • Understanding of commercial credit analysis, procedures, compliance requirements, and lease pricing models 
  • Verifiable track record of success and transaction closing experience

Desired Career Experience & Education Requirements:

  • ​Bachelor's degree in business or related field or strong business acumen

  • 5 years of business development experience in commercial lending or equipment leasing
