The Loan Servicing Representative is responsible for day to day loan servicing activities, customer service, and adherence to all corporate and regulatory guidelines. 


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Payment processing, payment reversals and research
  • End of day balancing of financial transactions
  • Monitoring of suspense reports, customer inquiries, research requests, and related correspondence
  • Record keeping and electronic loan file maintenance 
  • Review and documentation of job related processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with all bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations

Key Skill Sets or Knowledge Requirements:

 Ability to:

  • Manage multiple and/or shifting priorities, and produce professional and accurate work product, under time constraints
  • Balance financial transactions; understanding of balancing credit and debit transactions
  • Work with complex problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardize situations
  • Function with minimal supervision
  • Prioritize workload and function under pressure
  • Multitask
  • Apply common sense to carry out instructions and instruct others, train personnel, write correspondence and procedures, and speak clearly to customers and employees


  • Intermediate level computer skills including all MS Office systems
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Account reconciliation, payment processing and research


Desired Career Experience & Education Requirements:

  • 2+ years of mortgage loan servicing / loan operations experience
  • Cash Management Experience
  • Knowledge of investor, agency and regulatory guidelines with the ability to identify and implement process improvement opportunities
  • Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills


  • Understanding of mortgage loan processes and servicing experience
  • Knowledge of Jack Henry Banking systems
  • Associate degree and or work experience with emphasis on accounting , finances, or business administration



Job Functions & Work Environment:


While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to sit for extended periods of time. Manual dexterity and coordination are required while operating standard office equipment such as computer keyboard and mouse, calculator, telephone, copiers, etc.
