BofI Federal Bank is seeking a Senior Business Analyst who will be responsible for providing support to a fast-paced Technology & Operations department.

The role will require the candidate to have skills to document and assess operational processes, as well as formulate improvement opportunities and successfully implementing.

 

Job responsibilities include:

  • Analyze and identify business challenges and opportunities, and solve for them using fact based analysis to make strategic, tactical, and risk-based recommendations

  • Collaborate effectively with management and staff both within and outside Tech and Ops, as well as vendors, to ensure impact on both upstream, downstream, and across company activities, and ensure regulatory compliance

  • Document detail requirements, analyze financials (investment and benefits), assess systems, assess any regulatory impacts, and present to senior management

  • Gather, assess, and report data to establish metrics and on-going benefits tracking

  • Effectively and efficiently manage and report on agreed-to initiatives to completion

  • Document process map and procedural changes
  • Perform other projects, support and duties as assigned by management

Key Skill Sets or Knowledge Requirements:

  • Strong logical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills

  • Ability to assess both big picture, and ability and willingness to be detail oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to prepare presentations to senior management

  • Ability to write SQL queries to answer business ad hoc requests, strong Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Self-directed, disciplined, well-organized, and able to flourish in a fast-paced environment

Desired Career Experience & Education Requirements:

  • 3+ years experience in a problem solving/ analytical role for a fast-paced organization
  • 3+ years of financial services and/or management consulting experience
  • Track record of fact based communication to support senior decision making

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, and/or Operational Management from a highly recognized university

 

Job Functions & Work Environment:

 

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to sit for extended periods of time. Manual dexterity and coordination are required while operating standard office equipment such as computer keyboard and mouse, calculator, telephone, copiers, etc.
