We are seeking a Digital Marketing Specialist: Content Writer that will serve as one the key writers for the bank developing original content. This position will be responsible for creating daily publishing content,  blog posts, website copywriting, email marketing, PPC and retargeting campaigns, and assisting with social media content creation.


The ideal candidate is creative and able to transform complex topics into easy to digest content. They will be motivated and knowledgeable about creating engaging content that is relevant to multiple audiences. Excellent writing, spelling, and understanding of grammar are essential to the role.


Daily Responsibilities will Include:


  • Regular copywriting for BofI's websites, blogs, social media accounts, digital ads, print ads, and email communications
  • Working alongside a team of content curators to pitch story ideas and generate a robust content calendar for the Bank
  • Provide editing, rewriting, and proofreading services for the Bank's marketing department
  • Assist with ongoing SEO efforts including keyword research, on-page SEO, and keyword/Topical based content writing for all websites
  • Create and distribute press releases and media pieces highlighting bank achievements and targeting primary keywords
  • Seek opportunities to increase bank branding and exposure through bloggers, forums and other online and offline platforms
  • Ensure marketing campaigns meet brand standards and best practices

Key Skill Sets or Knowledge Requirements:

  • Excellent overall writing skills in a number of different styles/tones
  • Strong research, organizational, and learning skills
  • Impeccable spelling and grammar
  • Knowledge of copywriting for advertisements and marketing communications
  • Understanding of formatting articles for online channels
  • Knowledge of social media content standards/limitations for each platform
  • Knowledge of style guides/style manuals
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and keyword research procedure
  • The ability to work independently and efficiently
  • The ability to effectively manage deadlines while working in a fast-paced work environment

Desired Career Experience & Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or other related field
  • 1+ years’ experience providing written copy and/or content for social media and blogs
  • Experience with content writing for a variety of sources including web copy, press releases, social media copy, print ads, digital ads, blogs, etc.
  • Experience in writing in both formal/technical and informal/conversational occasions
  • Proficiency in keyword research tools such as Google AdWords Keyword Planner
  • Experience monitoring campaign results and aggregating performance data to present to team members and management.
  • Experience with MS Office
  • Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator) experience is a plus
  • Experience with various social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google+, Pinterest, as well as blogging platforms such as Wordpress


  •  Knowledge of the finance and banking industries
