The VP, Talent and Organizational Development is responsible for the design, development, implementation and management initiatives that support the Bank’s talent and organizational development framework. The Vice President will work with the EVP, Human Resources and the Human Resources team to develop strategies, programs, processes and policies that build upon and improve individual and organizational performance, enhance employee skills and promote employee engagement.  


Primary Responsibilities:


Talent Acquisition

  • Work with the Talent Acquisition team to build upon our hiring processes and recruiting strategy to serve the needs of each of our business units and attract and hire top talent
  • Develop and project a clear and compelling employment “brand” to candidates

Talent Engagement

  • Assess employee engagement and create processes and initiatives to continuously improve engagement

Learning and Development

  • Design, plan, implement and maintain learning strategy, approach, processes, tools, and systems
  • Identify and deliver curriculum needed to support skill development
  • Monitor, evaluate and record L&D activities and program effectiveness
  • Design and oversee the implementation of individual employee career development plans
  • Create and ensure the effective implementation of a consistent onboarding experience, including content, process, tools and resources at both an enterprise and business unit level

Competency Models

  • Continue to define and establish career paths within the bank
  • Further develop and manage competency models and integrate into other core HR processes
  • Support continuous assessment of the company’s talent

Performance Management

  • Oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of the semi-annual goal setting and performance management processes, tools and systems
  • Build organizational capacity in performance management and goal setting by training managers to effectively coach and manage people

Organizational Development

  • Provide ongoing leadership and support to change management activities
  • Manage across multiple dimensions of organizational development that enhance effectiveness, including strengthening teams, leaders, and culture

Key Skill Sets or Knowledge Requirements:

  • Experience and knowledge in design, implementation and management of talent and organizational development strategies, tools and techniques
  • Excellent planning, consulting, organization and project management skills
  • Demonstrated problem identification and resolution skills
  • Strong facilitation, consensus-building, written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative and productive working relationships with management and all levels of staff
  • Exceptionally strong initiative, a customer service focus, and solid judgment and business acumen skills, including the ability to maintain the confidentiality of information
  • Highly defined ability to organize complex information and convey it in clear and succinct ways both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desired Career Experience & Education Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in talent management, learning and organizational experience, including supervisory experience
  • Bachelor Degree in a related field


  • Master's Degree


Job Functions & Work Environment:


While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to sit for extended periods of time. Manual dexterity and coordination are required while operating standard office equipment such as computer keyboard and mouse, calculator, telephone, copiers, etc.
