    We are looking for a Security Analyst to apply system security principles to enhance the company’s security posture.  This professional will identify threats and develop appropriate protective measures, review system changes for security implications and recommend improvements, display the ability to research, analyze and resolve complex problems with minimal supervision, and escalate issues as appropriate and provide top tier support to the IT Information security operations staff for resolving complex cybersecurity issues.

     

    Responsibilities include:

    • Direct experience with the following tools:  anti-virus/anti-malware endpoint solutions, scanning, intrusion detection, SIEM, firewalls, web content filtering, and patch management system: test, demonstrate Proof Of Concept, implement and utilize security operations software to protect organizations' sensitive information; monitor and remediate networks and systems for security breaches or intrusions                                            
    • Support multiple platforms and applications
    • Conduct vulnerability scans and penetration tests
    • Demo and POC new products
    • Work with CISO and internal/external audit teams to provide reports and remediation plans
    • Conduct assessments of systems and networks within the networking environment and identify where those systems and networks deviate from acceptable configurations, policies, and standards
    • Execute vulnerability assessments; ensure mitigation of risks and support obtaining certification and accreditation of systems
    • Help the formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) required by each government accrediting authority through pre-test preparations, participation in the tests, analysis of the results and preparation of required reports
    • Assist with security related escalations from the Helpdesk and other related teams

    Desired Career Experience & Education Requirements:

    • 5+ Years of professional experience in an Information Security administration role supporting multiple platforms and applications
    • 3+ Years in conducting vulnerability scans and penetration tests.  
    • 3+ Years hands on experience with tools such as: Cisco ASA's, Cisco Proxy Manager, Palo Alto Firewalls, WSA, McAfee ePO, Symantec, FireEye, SIEM tools
    • Knowledge of disaster recovery, computer forensic tools, technologies and methods
    • Experience working with secure networks, systems and application architectures
    • Current with emerging security alerts and issues
    • Provide recurring security reporting to management

     

    Preferred: 

    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
    • Security+ Certification
    • Cisco or Microsoft certifications
    • GIAC SANS certifications
    • Palo Alto Accredited Configuration Engineer (ACE) Certification
    • Hands on experience with SIEM and Endpoint Security tools as well as Palo Alto FW’s
    • Hands on IR experience of endpoints and networks
