    The Senior Systems Engineer must be proficient in all aspects related to VMware, build and implementation tasks.  They must have the ability to provide high level technical design, fully document

    requirements and processes from the business. And architect, design and implement appropriate solutions providing project and on-going support for new and existing systems, and applications. They will

    support new project implementations within project scope and schedule. Provide Help Desk Level 2 support and any other duties as assigned. 


    Responsibilities include:

    • Plan, install and setup physical and virtual servers(VMware) to meet application, security, and regulatory requirements
    • Configure, tune, monitor and maintain all current supported .Net instances and applications
    • Load balancing configuration, management, deployments with BigIP F5 and A10 network products
    • Audit production systems for security, capacity and usage
    • Schedule and prioritize activities on projects involving the deployment of application and software
    • Maintain existing servers and clients using available administration tools
    • Monitor and troubleshoot servers and their usage and capacity to minimize problems and outages
    • Define, develop, implement and maintain the process involved in administration, maintenance, security, backup and recovery
    • Proactively work with technical support, communications support and vendors to resolve problems
    • Work to expand knowledge of banking and workgroup software and to maintain current in network, mainframe, client server and internet/intranet platforms
    • Documenting policies, processes and procedures of new and existing duties

    Key Skill Sets or Knowledge Requirements:

    • Experience with VDI and VMware 6.x
    • Knowledge in SAN/NAS (EMC storage) and Enterprise Backup (EMC Avamar) or equivalent backup solution
    • Reason and think logically
    • Attention to detail in regards to project planning and documentation
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and with written documentation
    • Willingness to help others, a pleasant personality, a courteous manner and a professional demeanor
    • Apply good judgment, implement solutions and resolve conflicts, all in a multi-tasked team environment
    • Project Management skills. The ability to utilize resources to complete tasks preceded by a defined goal or objective on budget and on time
    • Grow and cultivate technical staff
    • Work after hours and on weekends and travel as needed

    Desired Career Experience & Education Requirements:

    • 5 years Information Technology Web systems and Server experience
    • Experience in VMware 5.5/6.X, MS Clusters 2008/2012.
    • Thorough understanding of Active Directory 2008/2012, DFS, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy Management, MS SQL and Operational experience
    • Prior involvement in complex projects with new implementations and existing upgrades involving enterprise applications
    • Use of enterprise database backup, archiving, management, protection and recovery tools
    • Experience with Cisco UCS, VMware and EMC integration, Microsoft Server and System Administration
    • High School Diploma 



    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field 
    • VMware VCP Certified IT Professional with Windows System Administration skills
