    We are looking for a Product Owner who will help establish and steward a shared vision for their platforms / products by developing strategies and roadmaps. The Product Owner considers the external and internal environments to identify market gaps and opportunities, and breaks down complex problems into steps that drive product development to address business and user needs.  


    The Product Owner will plan, prioritize and integrate all moving parts in order to bring initiatives to market. They bring a strategic perspective to projects by understanding business needs, as well as contribute hands-on to push projects forward and is committed to continuous learning, is action orientated, and brings an anything-is-possible attitude to the team.


    The Product Owner will work closely with relevant business units to ensure the overall success of their products. They will need to gain consensus and support from different lines of business, they will need to help drive product development through IT, and they will need to be able to address roadblocks that arise. They will closely manage and lead most operations and business components, in addition to providing support to individual teams.


    Responsibilities include:


    • Define product vision, goals, and core user-needs leveraging platform features
    • Facilitate the project intake process
    • Partner with business owners to define the business problem
    • Determines project scalability plan in conjunction with the Business Owner
    • Work cross-functionally to shape products with other business units
    • Lead new product development initiatives through building effective business cases that identify business value and recommend metrics to measure success at the product level
    • Plan and execute research to develop a solid understanding of users, translating into personas, user stories, journey maps or other UX models
    • Work closely with business stakeholders to identify, clearly articulate, and prioritize scope and requirements and manage expectations
    • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver design strategy projects that require both creative and analytical thinking
    • Provide thought leadership, best practices, and standards required to deliver effective solutions
    • Define and manage product roadmaps to realize business goals and strategies
    • Research, troubleshoot, diagnose, and recommend solutions to complex business and technical problems
    • Assist in end-to-end testing
    • Stay up to date on design thinking and product management practices

    Key Skill Sets or Knowledge Requirements:

    • Experience with design thinking & lean prototyping of a product
    • Analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
    • Oral and written communication skills, and comfortable presenting (and interacting with) everyone from entry-level employees to senior levels
    • Ability to explain complicated or technical information in a simple way to non-technical audiences
    • Organized, practical, and finds new ways to do things more efficiently
    • Self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as in a team environment
    • A team player that can successfully work cross-functionally with various stakeholder groups
    • Able to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance

    Desired Career Experience & Education Requirements:

    • College degree in related field or equivalent experience
    • 2 + years' experience in a similar/complementary role for a web-based consumer product line
    • High degree of analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Job Functions and Work Environment:


    While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to sit for extended periods of time. Manual dexterity and coordination are required while operating standard office equipment such as computer keyboard and mouse, calculator, telephone, copiers, etc.
