    The Software Developer role is responsible for interfacing with internal customers to determine the most efficient and cost-effective approach to meeting business requirements, as well as translating those business requirements into well-engineered, tested and deployed application systems.

     

    The Software Developer will be an independent contributor that participates in technical design, development, implementation and support of various applications throughout the Trustee and Fiduciary Services division. Solutions will utilize a variety of software technologies and may include new code construction, modifications to existing code, as well as configuration and/or package implementation.

     

    Key Skill Sets or Knowledge Requirements:

     

    • Knowledge of Web APIs and Visual Studio and VSTS
    • Strong knowledge of relational databases and experience working with an RDMS such as Oracle or SQL Server
    • Understanding of object oriented design
    • Knowledgeable in SOA and web services
    • Comfort working in an Agile, team driven environment, experience in Scrum
    • Firm understanding of the fundamentals of requirement specification, design, coding, and testing of business applications systems using Agile development methodologies
    • Strong working understanding of installed systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve many problems on the existing system(s) supported
    • Support other developers through problem solving by identifying as well as evolving standards, best practices and reusable solutions
    • Proficiency with one or more technology environments, with the ability to learn and apply new and emerging concepts very quickly
    • Familiarity and strong working knowledge of the relevant programming languages/tools for the application area
    • Build and maintain a strong working knowledge of the business area(s) supported and the applications that support it
    • Participate in technical design, contributing insights and ideas
    • Successfully troubleshoots application problems, determining the root causes and fixing the problems
    • Experience translating business requirements into intuitive software solutions.
    • Problem solving abilities and creative thinking
    • Ability to positively interact with all members of the development and business teams
    • Self-starter capable of working on small teams in a fast-paced environment

     

    Desired Career Experience & Education Requirements:

    • 2+ years’ experience with oriented and .NET programming using C#, javascript 
    • Experience with Bootstrap, React, Redux or other related tools and controls

    • Knowledge of Web APIs and Visual Studio and VSTS

    • Experience developing applications within an Agile/SCRUM software delivery framework

     

    Preferred:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, computer systems engineering, or software engineering
